The Florida House late Wednesday passed measures to revamp regulations for the payday-loan industry and to expand the stateвЂ™s resign-to-run election law, sending the issues to Gov. Rick Scott with little discussion.
The votes arrived amid a batch of bills which were quickly authorized by the homely house at the conclusion of the marathon flooring session dominated by a debate on school-safety legislation.
Home users voted 106-9 to accept the loan that is payday (SB 920), that also easily cleared the Senate on Saturday. The industry-backed measure would enable payday loan providers to help make bigger loans for longer amounts of time.…
